The Toolbench & Restricted Items
All items listed in the banned category are forbidden to be used in role-play without explicit permission from the Admin team. Usage of these items without approval will result in a ban or warning depending on severity.
All items listed in the restricted category are allowed to be used in role-play IF you have an accepted application for the item. In order to use a restricted item in any Toolbench submission you must complete the attached Objective in a development thread. (Note: Not all items have an objective and may be submitted without)
As of writing this thread there are three Toolbench categories. The following is a short explanation on what you can post for approval in each category.
Categories
Potions Creation: Here you can invent/create new, otherwise considered, not canon potions, elixirs, etc. Or get approval of the usage of a restricted potion. Getting approval for the usage of a potion is considered an unlimited approval. (Meaning that, if you for example ask for the polyjuice potion and have your post accepted. You now do not need to make a new submission in order to use it after first use in role-play)
Spell & Magic Creation: In this category, you can invent your own spells. Make sure you check for already existing spells with the same (or very similar) effect before posting your own. It is also here you request for the usage of restricted spells. Once you know a spell you will know it forever. (Self-invented spells will ALWAYS have to be taught to others in character, otherwise they will act as if though they were restricted for that person) It is possible to teach originally restricted spells to other people so they don’t need to complete the development thread objective. Further explanation on this can be found in the Spell & Magic Creation category.
Misc. Magical Item Creation: In this category you can invent new magical items. Usually items in this category is a mix of enchanted items, potion laced items or items who naturally have magical properties. This category is the easiest of all to have your items made “products”. It is also in this category where you get permission to use a Hocrux or for example a Philosophers Stone.
Note:
You do not need to submit an application for restricted items that says "Only 7th years and above can use"
